EMDAS European Masters on Drug and Alcohol

Born in 2010, the European Master is promoted by the University of Turin, the Miguel Hernandez de Elche University (Alicante, Spain), the University of Aarhus (Denmark) and the Middlesex University (London, Great Britain). The master addresses the issues of the use of legal and illegal psychoactive substances, addiction to substances and new forms of addiction in a multidisciplinary and international perspective, through the critical examination of scientific evidence and their relevance in different political, social economic, and cultural contexts. It is addressed to all graduates (three-year and master’s degree), in particular to researchers and operators of public and private bodies working in the field of prevention and treatment of addictions and to those who are engaged in the definition of prevention and organization policies for services.

Franca Beccaria is one of the creators and founders and vice director of the Masters. The management of the Master is entrusted to Eclectica through an agreement with the Department of Culture, politics and society of the University of Turin.
